"Don't Forget the Whiskey" tour 2016 was The Cadillac Three's biggest UK/European headlining tour so far. It started off in the UK in early November with six shows on the mainland before moving across to Ireland, both North and South. After Ireland they headed to Europe where they played four dates in Germany before finishing off in Holland and Spain.
Not only was this their biggest headline tour, it was also the first time they had played in larger venues, housing up to 2000 people. Pretty much every show was SOLD OUT which shows just how far they have come in just a few years of coming across the pond. Their fan base is growing everyday as more and more people are turned on to the gritty southern sound that is so addictive, that once experienced you are hooked and need more....
First up in the tour was THE RITZ in Manchester, a venue with a capacity of 1500, almost double any venue they had played earlier on in the year during their "Night Life Religion" tour. Before they even set foot in the UK the first night was SOLD OUT. They had brought with them TYLER BRYANT & THE SHAKEDOWN who would be their support for most of the tour, they had spent most of the year travelling the globe supporting ACDC on their world tour. These guys are also Nashville based and are an amazing young band, full of energy, and they put on a great show. They were the perfect opener that lifted the crowd before THE CADILLAC THREE would take to the stage. I'm sure by the end of this tour they would have made many new friends and have many more fans, as every crowd they played in front of were blown away.

Next venue on the tour was the iconic SHEPHERDS BUSH EMPIRE in London, now an O2 run venue but hasn't lost any of its charm, with a main floor and three balcony levels giving it that old music hall look. It has a capacity of 2000, nearly all of this was filled with enthusiastic fans singing every word throughout the show. This night was slightly different as part of the encore involved TYLER BRYANT & THE SHAKEDOWN joining THE CADILLAC THREE on stage for a jam of Tom Petty's "HONEY BEE." This would set a precedent for the rest of the tour whenever TYLER was the support.

Night three of the tour saw them playing at THE CAMBRIDGE JUNCTION in Cambridge in the east of England. The venue holds 850 and like other venues was a SOLD OUT show. Again the crowd were treated to an amazing night of great music and a lot of people left the show very happy indeed and were still talking about it days later.

After a well deserved day off it was a trip north of the border to Scotland and the O2 ABC in Glasgow, a venue with a capacity of around 1300. It was a midweek show but still the venue was rammed to the rafters with the crowd singing every word. The fan base is definitely growing and the band deserve every success that goes with it.

After Glasgow it was a trip back down into England all the way to Birmingham where they would play at the O2 INSTITUTE, a venue that holds around 1500 to 2000. This tour has seen them branch out into much larger venues, and they do not look out of place in any of them as they've all been pretty much full. A true testament to their undoubted talent and appeal.

Last leg of the UK mainland part of the tour was in Bristol in the West of the country, a new city for them. The venue was the O2 ACADEMY with a capacity of 2000. It was one hell of a way to end this part of the tour with an amazing show, they are definitely right in the groove on this night, and the crowd responded by singing every word right along with the band. It was definitely a night to remember.

A day off after Bristol before the trip across to the Emerald Isle. First stop was Belfast in Northern Ireland where they played at THE EMPIRE MUSIC HALL, a beautiful old atmospheric venue with a capacity of around 230, a much smaller more intimate venue than they've been playing recently. The eager crowd were in for an up close and personal experience of pure country fuzz.

Down to Southern Ireland next and a trip to the capital Dublin. Venue for the show was WHELANS which holds around 400. Dublin is a party town and with THE CADILLAC THREE in town their reputation was intact.
